Tezcatlipoca (Nahuatl name literally meaning “Smoking Mirror”) is the most feared of all Aztec deities. He is the second of the four sons of Ometecuhtli and Omecihuatl, the parents of the four Tezcatlipoca: Xipe Totec (the red Tezcatlipoca), Tezcatlipoca (the black Tezcatlipoca), Quetzalcoatl (the white Tezcatlipoca) and Huitzilopochtli (the blue Tezcatlipoca). Tezcatlipoca is associated with night, discord, war, hunting, royalty, time, providence, sorcerers and memory. In a word, history, to which this series is dedicated.
